Here’s how it works: the first pill, is taken at the health center, or shortly thereafter. It blocks a hormone necessary for a pregnancy to grow. The second set of 4 pills is taken within 72 hours of the first pill — although the sooner the better. The Pill stimulates your uterus to cramp and bleed so that the pregnancy will leave your body (similar to a miscarriage).
